[ olivia aligns the needle of the syringe into the opening in reika's armlet, smiling in embarrassment. ]

Not at all, [ she says, ] I shouldn't have worried. [ she just knows so many who can be quite the Shounen (tm) and so it becomes somewhat a default for her. ] I was merely confused.

[ It's hard to explain, really - but Olivia's willing, so all's good and well. She gives the other woman a small, awkward smile. ]

[ The syringe has to be disposed in a specific process, but since Olivia's so careful with it there should be no problems. ]

Of course.

[ once finished, she carefully hands the syringe back to reika, taking an absent-minded step back to allow the younger woman more room to finish up. she tucks a lock of hair behind her ear out of nervous energy. ]

Is there anything else I can do for you while I'm here...?

[ Olivia's words sound a little familiar, mostly because Reika says those words often herself. It feels a little strange to rely on other people, but at this juncture she's well aware of her own limitations. If she has questions, it would be better to ask first than fail later. ]

You've helped me a lot, really.

[ Though... ]

I do have... maybe a question, though. From what the mission's shaped up, people are working on the cure and keeping order... I've mostly helped with the latter, though not very often. Do you think... I'm doing enough?

[ It's hard to compare when she has no standard, really. ]

[winces]

[ olivia is visibly taken aback by the question, so much so that it takes her a few moments to even respond. ]

...I don't know if I'm the best person to ask, [ she says eventually, giving a small, apologetic smile. ] I struggle with that question myself. I'm afraid I still don't quite know how to find the answer for it.

[ Ah.... she supposes it makes sense, given what she's seen of Olivia's personality. ]

I think you've done a lot, though. You support people who're doing more visible things.

[ That's probably what she does too but she'd like to think that Olivia talks to more people since she's been here longer. ]

[winces]

[ olivia's smile is kind. ]

If you believe that I have done a lot, then shouldn't you feel the same about yourself?

[ reika had supported her after all... ]

[ She looks surprised for a moment, but the expression quickly turns to one of bashfulness. ]

Oh... that's true. I guess I never thought about it that way...

[ Still, Olivia probably does more work than her. ]

Not at all, [ olivia insists. she had called to check up on her, after all. and despite seeing now that the young woman was well, she sees no reason to cut the encounter short.

[ It feels nice to be able to just... talk and not worry about all that's happening around there. The two ladies end up chatting about small stuff and relaxing the best they can. ]
